Strengths of Generic Aredia
Aredia is available in powder form, which a pharmacist must dissolve in water before diluting to the proper concentration. Some generic manufacturers have chosen to make versions that are already dissolved in water, making it a little easier to prepare. These forms that are already dissolved are not technically equivalent to Aredia but act just like Aredia. Most people would consider them to be equivalent. Generic Aredia strengths (including these non-equivalent dissolved forms) include:
- Pamidronate 30 mg vials (powder form)
- Pamidronate 90 mg vials (powder form)
- Pamidronate 30 mg vials (dissolved form), containing 3 mg of pamidronate per mL
- Pamidronate 60 mg vials (dissolved form), containing 6 mg of pamidronate per mL
- Pamidronate 90 mg vials (dissolved form), containing 9 mg of pamidronate per mL.
