Arimidex 1 Mg Tablets

When treating breast cancer with Arimidex® (anastrozole), your healthcare provider will consider several factors before recommending an amount. Some of these factors include the severity of your breast cancer and other medications you are currently taking.

In general, the recommended dose of Arimidex is 1 mg tablet once a day. For women with advanced breast cancer, the medication should be taken until the tumor begins to grow or spreads (metastasizes). For women with early breast cancer who have undergone surgery or radiation, it is not known how long Arimidex should be taken. In studies, the drug was continued for at least five years in these situations.

For the medication to work properly, it must be taken as prescribed. Taking your dose with food may prevent an upset stomach.
