Arimidex Alternatives

Arimidex® (anastrozole) is a medication prescribed for postmenopausal women who have breast cancer.
In general, this drug is effective and well tolerated. However, if you experience bothersome side effects, or if the medication is not adequately controlling your symptoms, there are several alternatives to Arimidex. Some of these substitutes include:
  • Surgery
  • Radiation therapy
  • Medications (including chemotherapy, hormone therapy, and biological therapy).
