There is only one available form and strength of Arimidex® (anastrozole) -- 1 mg tablets. However, the amount your healthcare provider prescribes will be based on several factors, such as the severity of your breast cancer and other medications you are currently taking.
For many postmenopausal women with breast cancer, the typical dose of Arimidex is 1-mg tablet once a day. If the medication bothers your stomach, you can try taking it with food. Make sure to take your dosage at the same time every day to maintain an even level in your blood.
