Non-Infiltrating Breast Cancer

Non-infiltrating (or non-invasive) types of breast cancer have not moved into the surrounding breast tissue. Therefore, the prognosis is good for these breast cancer types.
 
Common forms of non-invasive breast cancer include:
 
  • Intraductal carcinoma, also called ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS)
  • Lobular carcinoma in situ (LCIS).
