Faslodex Dosage

All women take the same Faslodex dosage, regardless of the severity or stage of cancer, age, or weight. The typical dosage is Faslodex 250 mg, injected once a month. Each Faslodex dosage is administered as one or two injections, and is given in the buttocks. Because there is a fairly large amount of liquid to be injected, the medication must be injected slowly.

Faslodex Dosage: An Introduction

There is only one recommended dose of Faslodex® (fulvestrant), regardless of the severity of your cancer, age, or weight.
 
The recommended dose in postmenopausal women with breast cancer is Faslodex 250 mg, injected once a month.
 

General Faslodex Dosage Information

Considerations for people taking Faslodex include the following:
 
  • Faslodex injections are given once a month. Each dose is administered as one or two injections, given into the buttocks.
     
  • Each Faslodex dose contains a fairly large amount of liquid to be injected and must be injected very slowly.
     
  • For the medication to work properly, it must be taken as prescribed. Faslodex will not work if you stop taking it.
     
  • If you are unsure about anything related to Faslodex or your Faslodex dosage, talk to your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist. Do not stop taking the drug without discussing it with your healthcare provider.
