Postmenopausal women who have certain types of breast cancer may benefit from treatment with Femara® (letrozole). This drug comes in tablet (pill) form, and is generally taken once a day. It is best to take the pills at the same time each day to maintain an even level of Femara in your blood.
This medication comes in one strength -- Femara 2.5 mg -- although the exact amount your healthcare provider prescribes will depend on various factors, such as the severity of the breast cancer.
If you have any questions while taking this medication, do not adjust your dose or stop treatment without talking to your healthcare provider first. Femara will not work if you stop taking it.
