Gemzar Drug Interactions

When certain medications -- such as "live" vaccinations, NSAIDs, salicylates, or warfarin -- are taken together with Gemzar, drug interactions may potentially occur. For example, because chemotherapy drugs (including Gemzar) can suppress the immune system, you should generally avoid receiving live vaccinations during treatment with chemotherapy. Also, certain Gemzar interactions can increase a person's risk of bleeding. It is important to talk with your healthcare provider or pharmacist about any drug interactions with Gemzar that may apply to you.
