Herseptin

For women with certain types of breast cancer, a healthcare provider may prescribe Herceptin® (trastuzumab). As part of a class of drugs known as monoclonal antibodies, Herceptin works by binding to certain proteins on the cancer cells to interfere with their growth and multiplication. Herceptin is not suitable for everyone. A few of the conditions you should let your healthcare provider know about before taking the medication include congestive heart failure and any allergies you may have. Some potential side effects of the medication can include fatigue, nausea, and diarrhea.
