Commonly reported side effects of Xeloda include anemia, diarrhea, and nausea. These problems are typically minor, however, and easily treated. Serious side effects, while less common, should be reported immediately to your healthcare provider. These include signs of an allergic reaction, an increase in tumor size, signs of a blood clot, and depression.

An Introduction to Xeloda Side Effects

As with any medicine, side effects are possible with Xeloda® (capecitabine). However, not everyone who takes the medication will experience side effects. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well. If side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or are easily treated by you or your healthcare provider.
