Medications that may potentially cause drug interactions with zoledronic acid include diuretics, teriparatide, aminoglycoside antibiotics, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, and vancomycin. Taking these medicines with zoledronic acid could increase your risk of developing low blood calcium or kidney damage. To help prevent zoledronic acid interactions, make sure to tell your healthcare provider about all other drugs you are taking.
- Aminoglycoside antibiotics, such as:
o Amikacin (Amikin®)o Gentamicino Kanamycin (Kantrex®)o Neomycin (Neo-Fradin®)o Streptomycino Tobramycin
- Diuretics, such as:
- Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), such as:
o Ketoprofen (Orudis®)
