Taxotere Dangers

The chemotherapy drug Taxotere® (docetaxel) has the potential to cause dangerous reactions, including infections, blood in the stool, and difficulty breathing. These reactions are rare, but it's always a good idea to be aware of the possibility and to know what to do if they occur.
 
In clinical studies, nearly all the people using Taxotere reported side effects. Some of the most common side effects reported with this drug included:
 
  • Hair loss -- up to 75.8 percent of people
  • Anemia -- up to 94.6 percent
  • Fluid retention -- up to 66.7 percent.
     
Other potential dangers with Taxotere include possible drug interactions and allergic reactions.
