Taxotere belongs to a class of drugs called taxanes. These medications stop cancer cells from growing and multiplying by interfering with certain cell structures. One of the advantages of using Taxotere is that it has a greater effect on rapidly multiplying cells (cancer cells fall into this category) than normal, healthy cells.
