Thioplex 15 Mg
Thioplex® (thiotepa) is a medicine prescribed for the treatment of various types of cancer, such as Hodgkin's disease, breast cancer, and bladder cancer. It can also help control effusion that results from certain cancers. Effusion occurs when excess fluid accumulates in the space between membranes that line body organs, such as the lungs or abdomen (stomach).
This medication is available in one strength and form: Thiotepa 15 mg per vial injection. Your specific dosage will depend on your weight, the type of cancer you have, and various other factors. It is given as an injection into a vein once every one to four weeks. It can also be given directly into the bladder or body cavities, such as the lining of the lungs, heart, or abdomen.
