General Information on Dosing With Tykerb

Considerations for people taking Tykerb include the following:
 
  • The medication comes in tablet form and is taken by mouth once daily. Take all the tablets in one dose; do not split them into two or more smaller doses per day.
     
  • Tykerb should be taken at least an hour before or one hour after a meal.
     
  • The medication should be taken at the same time each day to maintain an even level in your blood.
     
  • For the medication to work properly, it must be taken as prescribed. Tykerb will not work if you stop taking it.
     
  • If you are unsure about anything related to Tykerb or your Tykerb dosage, talk to your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist. Do not stop taking the drug without discussing it with your healthcare provider.
