Off-Label Zoledronic Acid Uses

On occasion, your healthcare provider may recommend zoledronic acid for something other than the uses discussed in this article. Using zoledronic acid to prevent (not treat) osteoporosis is an off-label use. Also, using zoledronic acid to treat or prevent osteoporosis in men or premenopausal women is considered to be an off-label use of the drug.
